Bower Bird, a supplier of fabric, notions, threads, chalk paint, and crafting supplies, aimed to create an engaging online platform that would allow customers to explore and purchase its wide range of creative products easily.
The primary goal was to ensure the build kept all the movement and fun the designer had in mind. The client also found that they needed an inventory management system, which was a bit more comprehensive than what Shopify could offer, and requested an alternative solution.

We created this website on top of a Shopify and integrated Vend (now Lightspeed) as the inventory management system. Vend was chosen after doing research and booking demos with a number of different options. Vend was the best fit for what Bowerbird required and was easily integrated into Shopify by the team.
Diverse Product Catalog
With such a vast range of products, variants and selections, integrating a powerful inventory management system was definitely needed. Vend (now Lightspeed) acts as the source of truth and is able to push all the information, including pricing, images, and stock, to Shopify.
Custom Length Calculator
A small but important feature was implemented on all the relevant products to clearly show customers what lengths they purchased for the quantity they had selected.
